Pennsylvania defense companies have received more than a billion-and-a-half dollars in federal funds for U.S. efforts to help Ukraine fend off Russia. A newly declassified U.S. Defense Department document shows that’s more than 47 other states. Pennsylvania also received at least 428-million to boost production of arms and munitions at federal and private facilities. That amount also, was the third-highest in the nation, behind only Arkansas and Texas. The defense contracts include companies such as General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, and Raytheon.
