The gun seizure record at Pittsburgh International is ticking upward again for the year. Airport officials say TSA agents found a loaded pistol in a Massachusetts man’s carry-on bag yesterday evening. The latest weapon located by security brings the total to 42 for the year, seven more than the previous annual record of 35, according to a facility spokesperson. The TSA is once again reminding passengers that they can travel with a firearm but it must be unloaded, locked in a hard-sided case, declared with the airline, and stored in a checked bag.
