State Could Get Federal Funding to Prevent Wildlife-Vehicle Collisions

Efforts to determine where and how to create conservation corridors to protect wildlife in Pennsylvania have gotten a boost from the federal government. The U.S. Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration have awarded the state an 840-thousand-dollar grant to help cut down on wildlife-vehicle collisions. Choices could include building highway crossing structures that allow wildlife to migrate over or under roadways. Pennsylvania reportedly has the third-most deer-vehicle crashes out of all states.
