Pennsylvania Democratic Senator, John Fetterman promises to block what he calls the “absolutely outrageous” sale of US Steel to a Japanese company. Fetterman criticized the deal for Nippon Steel to buy the 122-year-old American company in a post on X. He said the move is “wrong for workers and wrong for Pennsylvania.” He said in a statement that steel is connected to both national security and economic security in US communities. An October press release says US steel supported more than 11-thousand jobs in Pennsylvania.
