If you are planning on using the Pennsylvania Turnpike during the holidays, expect a lot of traffic. The Turnpike Commission is expecting over 5 million vehicles to travel the turnpike between this Friday and Monday, January 1. The highest volume is expected this Friday with a projection of slightly more than 600,000 vehicles. There is some good news however. The commission says all construction on the Turnpike will be suspended during the holiday travel period.
