A 54 year old Pleasant Gap man has been charged by the FBI for sending sexually explicit messages and wanting to meet, with who he thought was a 14 year old girl, but instead, was an undercover FBI agent. He’s been identified as Christopher Morelli, a journalist in Centre County, who has been charged with one felony count each, of unlawful contact with a minor, sexual offenses and criminal use of a communication facility. Morelli, who has been editor of the Centre County Gazette since June, has been suspended from his position, while the investigation continues. Morelli’s bail was set at $250,000, which was posted yesterday. His preliminary hearing is slated for January 3rd.
