Forecasters say residents across the south-central part of the state should gear up for a snow storm this weekend. The storm is expected to hit the East Coast with a mix of snow and freezing rain. The storm is now expected to bring anywhere from 4-8 inches of snow Saturday afternoon thru early Sunday morning. Higher elevations will see more. Travel is expected to be a problem, especially Saturday night. Yesterday a Blair County Alert was issued warning we might experience ice accumulations of light glaze. Good news is, the snow is expected to be a dry snow instead of the heavier wet snow. In the meantime we are also keeping our eyes open for another potential winter storm to hit the area next Tuesday or Wednesday.
