PennDot has reduced the speed limit on many area highways and two interstates. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 miles-per-hour on both Interstate 81 and 83 and on state routes 15, 22 and 30. Additional speed reductions are also now in place on state highways 222, 322 and 581. On roadways with speed restrictions, commercial vehicles must move to the right lane.
