Governor Josh Shapiro says he’ll roll out an economic development strategy in the coming weeks that will focus on agriculture. He said at an appearance at the Pennsylvania Farm Show last week that agribusiness can aid future prosperity in Pennsylvania by putting more money into agricultural programs, protecting farmland and inspiring more young people to go into farming. The governor was joined by U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, who announced 26-million-dollars in federal funding grants for projects to strengthen the state’s food systems.
