A well-known priest within the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese passed away on Tuesday. He was 82 year old Father Clarence “Chuck” Bridges., who was often referred to as the “TV priest.” Bridges spent many years working in radio, primarily WJNL and WCRO in Johnstown. He later became an ordained priest in 1988, and with his broadcast background launched Proclaim TV, a weekly half hour show that he produced and hosted at St. John Gualbert Cathedral in Johnstown. Bridges passed away on Tuesday, following a battle with pneumonia.
