A woman who visited Kennywood in July of 2022 has filed suit against the theme park saying that she suffered serious burns when cheese sauce from an order of fries dripped onto her hand. Charmaine Halsel, of Mt. Lebanon, reports she suffered second-degree burns in the incident and has been left with permanent scars. In her complaint filed Friday, she says that the cheese on her order should not have been served due to it being too hot for human consumption. Kennywood has not publicly responded to the suit.
