Blair Township Supervisors have voted to apply for a nearly 4 million dollar grant for the second of three sections of a proposed sewer line extension along Reservoir Road. The grant money would be coming from the Department of Community and Economic Development. Four years ago the proposal to install sewer lines to serve over 200 homes from West Loop Road to near Brooks Mill was put on hold due to cost. The township hopes to finally complete the project with these funds. Last month the township received $3.5 million from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program for the first section of the project.
