A Patton family has been displaced as a result of a porch fire that broke out in their home yesterday morning. According to local authorities the fire was accidental in nature, and was caused when a cigarette was thrown into a bin on the front porch and caught fire. Both a man and a dog inside the Highland Avenue home were able to get out. The Red Cross is assisting the family. Fortunately no one was injured.
