An Altoona man is behind bars today after asking for flooring in exchange for drugs. Altoona Police say, during a controlled buy, 35 year old Travis Phaler allegedly asked for 80 boxes of laminate flooring. Officers purchased 22 boxes of the flooring totaling $1,500. At that point Phaler allegedly took the flooring and gave the buyer 138 bags of fentanyl and $300 to make up the difference. Phaler has been charged with possession with intent to deliver and other charges. He has been placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail.
