Governor Josh Shapiro is scheduled to visit Pittsburgh today to discuss a new statewide economic development plan. Shapiro and members of his administration are expected to speak at Carnegie Mellon University as part of a multi-stop tour. While discussing the plan in the Lehigh Valley yesterday, the governor mentioned funding for start-ups, investments in communities, and expansion in apprenticeship and internship opportunities. Shapiro is also expected to share more details on an overall ten-year economic plan while presenting his new budget in Harrisburg next week.
