Governor Josh Shapiro has laid out his vision for jumpstarting the state’s economy, using Bethlehem as a backdrop. He revealed his new strategies earlier this week at OraSure Technologies, a medical diagnostics company. The 52-page plan includes a mix of new funding and a focus on key industries such as agriculture, energy, life sciences, manufacturing and IT. The strategy is designed to make Pennsylvania more competitive in retaining and attracting workers. The governor says ways to pay for the programs will be revealed in his new budget, which will be presented next Tuesday in Harrisburg.
