A Pennsylvania lawmaker has proposed new legislation that would end the Sunday hunting ban. Democratic Rep. Mandy Steel of Allegheny County has sponsored legislation that would repeal the state’s prohibition on Sunday hunting and would give the Game Commission the authority to decide when and how Sunday hunting is permitted. In 2019, then Governor Tom Wolf signed Act 107 into law which gave the Game Commission permission to designate three Sundays per year for hunting. The proposal has been submitted to the state house of Representatives for further consideration.
