Lehigh Valley’s Representative Ryan Mackenzie is one of the state lawmakers who wants to make Daylight Saving time permanent in Pennsylvania. He’s reintroduced legislation in the House that would make clocks show standard time year-round. However, Congress would first have to give states the authority to make the change because it’s currently against federal law to do so. The idea also has been proposed in both the U.S. Senate and House. Mackenzie’s proposal, House Bill 272, is now with the House State Government Committee.
