There is to be a controlled structure fire at Canoe Creek State Park this weekend, for training purposes. The one day burn will take place on Sunday, February 18th beginning at 8 a.m. and is a coordinated effort by the Geeseytown Volunteer Fire Dept., and the State Fire Commission. During that time, officials will limit access to the Bass Court Boat Launch. Residents may see fire trucks, police and park staff, during this controlled burn, but are reminded this is all a part of the controlled burn and not to be alarmed.
