Twenty years after he killed his wife, a former pharmaceutical executive from Montgomery County, Pa., was ordered back to prison last week, this time for scamming money of the owners of dying dogs. Federal prosecutors describe 73 year old Jonathan Nyce as a “prolific con man” who bilked nearly $1 million, with claims he had discovered a treatment capable of treating cancer in dogs. In the meantime, in 2004 the slaying of Michelle Nyce, in Mercer County Pa., drew national attention, after Nyce slammed her head onto the floor of their garage after learning she was having an affair. He placed her body in a Land Rover and drove it off a cliff to make it appear she had had an accident. Nyce continues to proclaim his innocence in both cases. Nyce was sentenced last week in the phony drug scheme. He was sentenced to just over 8 years in prison for scamming nearly 900 worried dog owners.
