The Bushy Run Battlefield and Museum is hosting an event to mark the founding of Pennsylvania. A free Charter Day celebration is planned for March tenth. Guests will be able to see the historic site and speak with reenactors portraying Native Americans, European settlers, and William Penn, the founder of the state. Bushy Run Battlefield is in Penn Township and is the location of a 1763 conflict between British troops and Native Americans during Pontiac’s War.
