The Outback Steakhouse in State College has closed. A sign on the front door informed customers the restaurant was permanently closed and invited them to visit their restaurant in Altoona. An Outback, near Harrisburg, that had been open for 30 years, also closed. The company had planned to close 36 older, underperforming restaurants across the country, while opening 40-45 new locations.
