A 49 year old Altoona man is behind bars for allegedly sexually abusing one of his relatives for years. He’s been identified as James Kennedy who reportedly began abusing the relative when he was around 8 or 9 years old. These accusations came to light following an investigation after the victim, who is now 18, went to police. Police say Kennedy is accused of bribing the victim with money or gifts in exchange for performing sexual acts. Kennedy was arraigned over the weekend on involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, incest of a minor and numerous other charges. He is currently in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
