A 23 year old Altoona man has been arrested after he led city police on a chase while riding his dirt bike in the early morning hours of this past Sunday. He’s been identified as Chance Herren who according to Altoona Police, said he had “nothing better to do” than to ride his dirt bike around the city at 2 a.m. When police attempted to stop him, Herren led them on a chase. Eventually, Herren hit a police cruiser, then struck a parked car before taking off on foot. He was later found lying in a yard and taken into custody. Herren, whose driver’s license is currently under DUI suspension, was charged with fleeing, reckless endangerment and other counts. He was place in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
