A Morrisdale couple is behind bars today for a fatal shooting that occurred in Clearfield County this past Saturday. State police say 33 year old Kodey Parks was found shot to death in his home along Albert Drive. Authorities have arrested his 37 year old estranged wife Danielle Parks and her boyfriend, 48 year old Bryan Michaelis. The two face homicide and conspiracy homicide charges, among numerous other counts. Authorities say the shooting occurred during a custody exchange. Danielle Parks reportedly told police she shot her ex-husband after he chased her. During numerous interviews however, the story changed indicating that Michaelis, who was in prison at the time, allegedly made a prison call to Kodey Parks and threatened him. Reports show Michaelis was released from jail the day before the shooting. Furthermore, police reports note that Michaelis and Danielle Parks allegedly purchased a .22 caliber handgun the day before the shooting and it was the same gun used to kill Kodey Parks. Both Danielle Parks and Michaelis are in the Clearfield County Prison where bail has been denied. They face a preliminary hearing on March 6th.
