An Altoona man who barricaded himself in a home on the 1000 block of Rosehill Drive, and made comments about wanting to have a shootout with police, is facing new charges. On March 2nd 28 year old Tershar Miller barricaded himself in the home and told authorities he wished to die by suicide by cops. Miller reportedly told authorities he had nothing going for him. Police noted in a complaint that Miller was taking a recent death in his family very hard. During the standoff Miller came out of the home several times, and at one point brought out a makeshift Molotov cocktail telling police he wanted to burn the house down. Miller was eventually taken into custody without anyone being injured, and yesterday he was arraigned on charges including felony counts of arson, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, and numerous other counts. Miller is currently in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 28th.
