A fire that broke out Monday night at U.S. Lumber, located along Ward Drive in Claysburg, totally destroyed the building. Cause of the fire is unknown, but reportedly a state police fire marshal hasn’t found anything suspicious. In the meantime, because of all the water that was used in fighting the blaze, officials in Greenfield Township are asking residents to conserve their water usage for the next 72 hours. Additionally, it’s being recommended that residents not wash any white or delicate clothing during this time. Authorities say the fire is expected to continue to burn for the next several days.
