A Cresson man is facing charges after he allegedly was paid over $22,000 to complete a project in Portage, but reportedly never did so. 37 year old Anthony Dziabo is facing charges after he allegedly failed to complete an addition on a women’s home. Between October and November of 2022, the homeowner reportedly paid Dziabo over $22,000 to complete the addition, but he allegedly failed to do so. Dziabo was arrested by the Portage Police Department on March 18th. He was released on unsecured bail set at $75,000. Dziabo is facing felony charges of theft by deception, among other charges. His preliminary hearing is slated for April 2nd. In the meantime, the Penn Cambria School Board has called for the resignation of Dziabo, who is a member of the school board, after they were made aware of the fraud charges filed against him.
