An Altoona woman, described as an habitual shoplifter was allegedly found with stolen items from the Dollar General in the Juniata section of Altoona. 39 year old Miranda Jo Weakland was charged after police received a call from Dollar General on North 4th Avenue on Tuesday morning, regarding a shoplifter that had just left the store. Authorities reportedly spotted Weakland walking down the sidewalk with the items in her arms. Weakland already has 10 shoplifting convictions. She is being charged with retail theft, resisting arrest and public drunkenness. Weakland has been placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
