Five Blair County Corrections officers have been fired after last Decembers escape of inmate, 33 year old Isaiah Tilghman. According to prison authorities if the prison’s policies and procedures had been properly followed, the escape of the inmate might not have happened, or the escape might have been discovered earlier. Tilghman, who is still at large, escaped the area after stealing a truck in the Lakemont area. That truck was later found on December 15th in Philadelphia. Tilghman was arrested last May on drug-trafficking offenses. At the time of his arrest he was also wanted on arrest warrants issued in Centre County.
