A Blair County “ghost gun” dealer, and former Altoona Police Detective has been released from prison because of his advanced-stage colon cancer diagnosis. 52 year old Craig Zahradnik appeared in court last week for a sentencing hearing after he pled guilty to manufacturing, selling and possessing ghost guns last December. During the hearing his attorneys made a case for release given Zahradnick’s health, saying it’s unlikely he would survive the guideline range sentence of 70-87 months. Zahradnik will be placed into home detention and will be electronically monitored.
