A 64 year old resident of Tomorrow’s Hope, which is a transitional housing center in Coalport, is facing numerous charges of possessing child porn. During a preliminary hearing last week in Clearfield County, 61 counts of child pornography against Tomas Mahaffey were held to court. Reportedly a supervisor at the housing center discovered an unclaimed cell phone that later turned out to belong to Mahaffey. After being questioned Mahaffey admitted the phone was his, and he had obtained 61 images of child porn from the “dark web.” Mahaffey is currently in state prison for violating parole on a previous child porn case. This latest case now passes onto the court of common pleas for further disposition.
