The Pennsylvania Senate has passed a bill that would allow veterans in therapeutic programs to fish without paying a registration fee. State Representative Ed Neilson noted that fishing is often used as a therapeutic activity by healthcare professionals for a number of mental and health related issues. According to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, this exemption will extend over 60 different service organizations and hundreds of unique one-day fishing opportunity events in the state.
