A fatality has been reported due to a house fire that occurred early this morning in Altoona. Full details are not known at this time but the Altoona Fire Department said a body was discovered in the home after fire crews were able to enter the structure. The home is located at 1918 8th Avenue and the fire has been brought under control. Authorities also noted that two city firefighters sustained minor injuries while battling the blaze. The State Police Fire Marshal and Altoona City Fire Inspector are investigating the cause of the fire. Crews were called to the scene this morning around 1 am.
