The very first ever Spring Blair County Food Drive was a great success. According to Denise Stone, founder and coordinator of the Blair County Food Drive, enough food was collected last week, outside Sam’s Club in Altoona, to feed nearly 20,000 people. Denise went on to thank volunteers, sponsors, and an “amazing community” for donating food during this 8 day food drive. The food is distributed to 8 local groups who benefit each year from the event. 96-9 100.7 the Train, WTRN was proud to have been one of the sponsors of this year’s Spring food drive.
