The state of Pennsylvania says there’s been a dramatic jump in the number of electric vehicles in the state. PennDOT last week said there are now over 63 thousand EVs, and over 274 thousand hybrid vehicles in Pennsylvania. The tally comes as PennDOT looks to expand the number of EV charging stations in the state. There are over 42 hundred chargers at more than 16 hundred different places. Pennsylvania is looking to add EV corridors with a charger every 50 miles or so. PennDOT says that will take at least two years to get started.
