Due to rising costs, the Bellwood-Antis School District is considering a property tax hike in the upcoming 2024-25 budget. During a school board meeting last evening, school board members discussed the rising costs of everything from classroom supplies to the special education staff, resulting in the board eventually raising the property tax rate. According to Superintendent Edward DiSabato, the tax increase is “projected” but it’s specific amount depends on other budget line items that are to be decided later. Further discussion on a tax increase is expected at the next board meeting set for April 9th.
