A 33 year old Houtzdale woman was arraigned yesterday on charges relating to an arson fire involving a Logan Township home in 2021. Courtney Ketrow has been charged with one felony count each of arson, reckless burning or exploding, and numerous other counts. On Oct. 6th, 2021 fire crews responded to a fire along Princeton Road in Greenwood involving an uninhabited home. During an investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police fire marshals, an oil-like substance was found on the back porch. Authorities determined the blaze had been deliberately set. The home was in the process of being sold at the time of the fire and reportedly the buyer of the home told police he was purchasing the residence for a relative who was allegedly in the middle of a breakup with Ketrow. Officers later learned Ketrow contacted the buyer the day before the fire, asking for the home’s address. According to court documents, GPS data obtained by police showed Ketrow was in the vicinity at the time of the fire. Ketrow was released on bail. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 18th.
