The Uniform Family Law Arbitration Act is on its way to Governor Shapiro’s desk. House Bill 917 unanimously passed its last hurdle in the state House Wednesday. It will provide families with a voluntary, private process for resolving law disputes with the help of an arbitrator. Supporters say it will be especially helpful in matters of domestic violence as it will allow for quicker resolutions from an arbitrator, rather than a long court proceeding.  They also say it will help keep children from being placed in the middle of drawn-out legal battles.
