The Pennsylvania Senate has okayed the plan to toughen the penalties for phoning-in bogus school threats. The new plan would make it a felony of the third degree to call-in fake threats to a school or other ‘education facility.’ The proposal also allows judges to require anyone convicted of phoning-in or emailing-in a fake threat to cover the cost of the police response. Cambria state Senator Wayne Langerholc says the idea is ‘common sense.’ It now heads to the Pennsylvania House for a vote.
