An Altoona woman is facing child endangerment charges after authorities were called to an apartment on 26th Street and discovered children wandering the apartment unsupervised. 21 year old Anya Newsome is facing child endangerment charges after she was arraigned last Friday. Reportedly’ when police arrived at the apartment they found it to be in deplorable condition, with the three children, improperly dressed, and eating cookies off the floor. Police noted that one room was used for garbage, and another room was covered in what was believed to be human feces. Newsome has been placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail
