Four Somerset County individuals are facing involuntary manslaughter charges today in the 2022 death of a 2-year-old boy. The cause of the child’s death was determined to be “multiple drug intoxication” as fentanyl, meth, cocaine and xylazine were all reportedly found in his system. Yesterday, authorities charged Lauren Livengood, Linda Pape, Rusty Koval and Jeremy Chaney for their roles in the child’s death. All four, reportedly resided in the same Milford Township home and were the caregivers of the child. Livengood and Chaney have been identified as the boy’s parents. The four face charges of involuntary manslaughter, child endangerment and reckless endangerment. Police say during an investigation, drugs and drug paraphernalia were found at the home, however authorities did not say how the boy came in contact with the drugs. All four individuals were arraigned yesterday and are currently in the Somerset County Prison.
