Bees Producing Loads of Honey at Pittsburgh Airport Property

Airplanes are not the only things buzzing through the skies at Pittsburgh International Airport.  The property is home to more than 125 honeybee colonies as well.  Beekeeper Steve Repasky says the airport is an ideal place for the insects to forage, as the there are no pesticides in use and there are abundant areas for them to find nectar.  The bees at the airport can produce between one-thousand and three-thousand pounds of honey every year, according to Repasky.
