PennDOT Suspends I-83 Construction in Wake of Deaths of 3 Workers

PennDOT has suspended work on Interstate 83 in York County after the April 17th fatal crash that claimed the lives of three local men. The victims were employed by Somerset based Crilon Corporation. Police say a 24 year old man driving a box truck collided with a vehicle in the work zone and then struck and killed 42 year old Robert Hampe of Meyersdale, 24 year old Jesse McKenzie from Somerset and 24 year old Philson Hinebaugh of Johnstown. State Police say the crash remains under investigation.
