An Altoona man was killed last Friday evening in a two vehicle crash that occurred on I-99 in Centre County. Killed was 63 year old Robert Cummings the second. The crash occurred near mile marker 61 in Worth Township. Authorities say Cummings was driving south when he crossed the median and entered the northbound lane striking another vehicle head-on. A passenger in the second car identified as 33 year old Isaac Pollert from Indianapolis, was taken to UPMC in Altoona with serious life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second car was identified as 24 year old Gooderham McCormick from State College who was also taken to UPMC Altoona. Cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
