A new study says Pennsylvania is the third best state to start a new business. Experts at Eton Venture Services compared the number of businesses in each state against the number of businesses that have closed. Their analysis says Pennsylvania is one of the best. The state also gets high marks for financial assistance to start-up companies, like the Business Opportunities Fund and the High Performance Building Program. Missouri is the best state to start a business, and Arkansas is in second place. Washington state is the worst on the Eton Venture rankings.
