Pennsylvania US Senator John Fetterman has introduced legislation that would make affordable broadband internet service permanent. A federal program that provides discounts to eligible residents is set to expire at the end of May. Fetterman says the legislation provides funding that will not be passed onto consumers. The program assisted 23 million US households, including 700 thousand in Pennsylvania.
