A 33 year old Hyndman woman is behind bars today after she was accused of assaulting a young boy by throwing a cell phone at him. According to State Police in Bedford County, 33 year old Kathryn Laber got into a physical altercation with a 10-year-old boy on April 21st at a residence in Londonderry Township. Police report that Laber admitted to arguing with the boy and then throwing a cell phone at him, striking him in his left eye. The boy was taken to UPMC Bedford and received multiple stitches. Laber faces numerous charges including felony aggravated assault and child endangerment. She is currently in the Bedford County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
