The Iowa-based Palmer Candy Company has issued a recall for its white-coated confections sold at Walmart, Target and Dollar General stores in Pennsylvania. The FDA says the treats in the form of frosted pretzels, snack chow, munchy medleys, yogurt pretzels and white fudge cookies were also sold in other states and through distributors. Officials say the white coated snacks could contain salmonella, which can be fatal to children, the elderly, and those with weak immune systems. Officials say no illnesses have been reported.
