For our latest “Local Song of the Week,” we spotlight brand new music from the Derek Woods Band. A number recently introduced on Q94’s weekly “Homegrown Rocker” local music program, “Thank You for Being Here” is the first song released from the group’s brand new album, “The Light.” The award-winning western PA-based group will continue to perform shows in the region, but are also planning to embark on touring across the U.S., Canada and Mexico in the months ahead. The Mexico leg of that tour will happen in mid-October, with more tour dates to be announced.
